Tohmajärvi Church

Completed in 1756, Tohmajärvi Church is the oldest wooden church in North Karelia. The church is located in the Kirkkoniemi area of Tohmajärvi, which is among the most beautiful church sites in Finland. The belltower with a shingled roof was completed in 1760.

The church can seat roughly 650 people. The sound system of the church was updated in 2006. Reservations through the parish office, tel. +358 (0)400 967 601. Services are primarily conducted at the church.

Open by agreement in winter, in summer during the opening hours of the summer café.
