The Suursaari lake orienteering route is a demanding lake orienteering route with nine control points, which must be navigated by means of rowing or canoeing.

The route that starts from the western shore of Varpassalo and runs through the breathtaking vistas of Savonselkä reach in Orivesi is best suited to experienced canoeists – especially in windy weather. In a rowboat in calmer weather, the route is also perfect for families interested in geocaching, for example.

The orienteering route features nine control points. The route is also suitable for those interested in fishing and bird watching. It is possible to navigate the route on your own or with a guide.

Access to the route is subject to a fee: you will be provided with initial guidance, a map and safety instructions or, if necessary, a guide (see contact information).
