The regional museum in the village centre has an extensive exhibit with old peasant items, depicting the history of the municipality.
The village museum building (next to the chapel) is a former reserve seed stockpile which was built in 1814. The Rääkkylä-Seura association received the buildings and items of the museum, which was operated since 1963, as donations.
The mill that operated in Paksuniemi has been cleaned up and renovated to serve as a museum. It features a copy of an ancient boat which can be viewed by separate agreement.
