Local delicacies

Strawberries, blueberries, honey, meat and fish and many more tasty treats! Did you know that over 60% of all strawberries in North Karelia are produced in Kesälahti? Or did you know that the Puruveden muikku vendace caught in our region is covered by the EU’s protected geographical indication? In summer, the easiest way to get fresh berries is directly from the farm, and vendace is served in many restaurants. Smoked vendace oil preserves are also a great and very popular souvenir.
